Undervalued By Ebay Seller

    Hi,

    I've just bought some camera gear of ebay coming from south korea and the seller has just told me they've sent the package with an undervalued cost. They've mailed me an undervalued invoice incase it gets queried along the way.

    Now i've not asked them to do this and i'd rather not be party to this so i was wondering does anyone know what would the procedure/consequences be if i just presented my paypal reciept as proof of the value rather than the fake invoice?

    Cheers thanks. Was hoping that was the case. First time i've bought anything that'd require any import duty so jus needed a more educated opinion. Dont think i'd wanna take a chance with a fake invoice anyway.

    OP is it arriving here by regular post or via courier? If courier then you'll likely face large admin costs (I think UPS is €14 or so) to process the customs duty. I think even An Post charge this too, something like €8 or 9. If its coming in by courier then you'll just get a note from the company to pay the entire lot that customs have asked for, plus their admin fee on top.
