I'd bea lot more worried about my neck and back if it was me.

Feck the car... Could be real damage done there.

I'd imagine there will be a pool of oil under that in the morning. Good hard slap to the sump there.

Looks like he belts his face off the steering wheel, too.. surprised the air bags didn't deploy?!

Not something I'd be trying myself. Far too big a height.

that guy is a danger to the road, apart from writing off his car he probably got whip lash of some sort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,220 ✭✭✭✭biko

Looks like there already was a wet stain on the road after this, I'll check it again, probably lashed the sump out of it along with a few other things, car probably wont be road worthy after that.
edit, looks like there was some patch there already, just where he left a bit of dust as the car whalloped the speed ramp, whata dumbass

Why would people be applauding him for a criminal act?

I'd say the owner did it more for the ****s and giggles more than anything else.
Agree with Muppetcheck, I'd be expecting a nicely cracked sump in the morning.

Just curious, could the owner still expect a fine to come through the post? The car is being lifted for a reason.

ho do you know it's a Council lorry? has blue and white checkers on it but no other markings I can see. If it's been seized you can't just un-seize it without breaking the Law

Looking at it again, and listening, I think he hit the rear bumper/valance and front bumper but I doubt the sump got a slap. I don't know for sure tho, still fair play to him.
As for all the comments about injuries, I'd say he was in such a rage he felt nothing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

clearly dangerous driving then if that was so (imo)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,102 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Dangerous me arse, No one was behind him and he put no one at danger.

Its up to him what he does with his own car, I've gotten more air over a jump!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,733 ✭✭✭✭corktina

There is no way he could have known there was no one behind him....how could he possibly see?

    Getting silly now lads.

Idiot drives car of truck, people on internets talk over it, people on internets get silly, happening all over the world i'd say.

Unfortunately his head did not stick up, Inspector Gadget style, 10 ft out of the sun roof and turn round through 180 degrees, so I think we can safely assume the driver cannot have been able to see if anything or anybody was immediately behind the truck, in the space where he was going to land.

Fair play to him I wouldn't attempt it with my own car mind :D

Your car lands cleaner from a jump though as most of the energy is horizontal.
That was 99% vertical and no chassis would forgive a move like that!

never heard of blind spots eh? I'd say that the bit behind the truck would certainly be one of them

it was an irresponsible act which endangered the life of anyone who happened to be behind the truck...so , no , why would I "let up". I'll call anyone who might act in such a criminally dangerous fashion.

In fairness, the only person endangered was himself. It's being over dramatised now.

had there been a child in the road behind the truck killed, you all would be singing a different tune I'd wager. Luckily there wasn't but that's no reason not to condemn this dangerous act.
