I've just lost my job, worked full time since I was 17. I'm only 24, it says €100 for someone aged under 25. €188 for someone 26.

Am I only entitled to €100 a week or €188?

This would be my first experience with claiming social welfare so I'm not really in the know.

If you have worked since you were 17 you should have more than enough contributions for jobseekers benefit. The amount you receive on jsb will depend on your average weekly earnings in 2012. If they were above €300 pw then you will receive €188 pw on jsb.

It would be what you were on in 2012 that will determine jsb
