Newb handicap question

I'm playing a round (I believe) in a competition in an away club next week.

Having just gotten my handicap this year, do I need to bring something back to my home club for this to be recognised for my own handicap? Or does it happen automatically? Or does it just not count?!

    Cheers!

You should have to sign into a computer in the away club and from there it should all happen on line.

there might also be a sheet on a handicap noticeboard where you can record your away scores also. ask in your local club.
