She's looking for suggestions for who people want to see there too.

Chris Hülsbeck and Jeremy Soule ;)

And ofc, Koji Kondo... because EVERYONE knows his music, if not his name... [Pretty much all NES games, like Super Mario Bros, Zelda, etc.].

You won't get Koji Kondo, he's locked up with Nintendo afaik.

Would love to see Hitoshi Sakimoto, Michiru Yamane, Yasunori Mitsuda or Yoko Shimomura (but she would draw the Kingdom Hearts fans, you can't have everything I suppose).

Now mention someone that isn't Japanese! :pac:

Doubt you'd be able to get mad-famous Japanese composers over.

Hulsbeck is a good shout, I'd say try for David Wise as well.

Worth a think about, who're some other great composers who aren't as widely known or appreciated...?

Kai Rosenkranz for me. Probably wrote one of the greatest sountracks never heard (Gothic 3).

Martin O'Donnell to play some Halo pieces...which definitely won't happen after he got fired.

Lets not do that. I still remember the girl who was literally quivering and making weird noises when Kingdom Hearts was played at Video Games Live a few years go. Absolutely mental

A few years ago you wouldn't but now that the majority have gone freelance it's much easier to get them to do interviews and they are more willing to talk about projects than even the developers.

All you need to know is that Kingdom Hearts fans are scary and more than likely on the autism spectrum.

It sounds a bit... inflammatory but this is all too true.

Drawing those fans would in all honestly probably ruin it for everyone else.

OT: but I never played the Kingdom Hearts series... the whole Disney thing is a real turn off. Though I can see the appeal of the cartoony stuff to those with autism, so maybe you're right. :o

Well I was only joking. The games are fun even if the story is pretty much the worst thing ever written by humankind. Not all fans are like that but the ones that go to conventions... some of them are weird.

    Pete McConnell

For his work on Grim Fandango and the Monkey Island series, (amongst many, many others!)

Aside from O'Donnell & Salvatori [Halo, Destiny] and the obvious artists like Uematsu, Kondo, Mitsuda it would be cool to hear from weirder artists like SoulEye, chipzel, c418, etc.

Man, it would be wonderful if they could bring over Mitsuda.

Going by the arcade & retro forum, they've priced a lot of their target audience out. I know they're trying to use Video Games Live to lure people towards the rest of the events with an all-inclusive ticket, but charging at least 65 euro for the worst seats in the house is super-cheeky. Especially since many will have little to no interest in a majority of the events (can I get a tenner knocked off since I couldn't care less about a frickin' 'CosBall'?)

Yet to book my tickets, but I will most likely be going to this. €50 dosen't seem too bad for tier three tickets tbh

You guys know they are selling concert only tickets ? Cheapest is still 40 quid but its more managable than the conference tickets. I love the music but it wouldnt extend to a 2 day conference really.

Edit: does feel a bit under subscribed, I wonder is it because the billing seems like it could be very blizzard heavy?

Had there been concert-only tickets when they were first released I would have gotten them in a heartbeat, but I couldn't afford and didn't want tickets to the whole convention.

I only realised there were concert-only tickets available this week and I already have plans now for the Easter weekend. TBH I think they kicked themselves in the shins with this one, I reckon the concert would have sold much better if those tickets were available from the start.

Have to say I'm pretty disappointed by the schedule. 11am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday with only the Videogames Live Concert on Saturday evening. Surely they could have moved the Thuesday stuff to Saturday when people won't be stuck in work? As it is, I won't get to any Thursday stuff, and there's nothing at all on Saturday apart from the concert.
