We all have at least one favourite band that everybody else hates and we like to listen to when no one is around. What is yours and why?

    Babymetal :pac:

Dunno if I really have a 'guilty pleasure' because I just listen to what I like and don't care what other people think, but Babymetal do bring out some extreme reactions from some folks, it's hilarious.

Heathenwolf. They converse through the power of music but don't actually contribute anything themselves, the loveable bastards.

Heh, Babymetal have indeed been getting a lot of strange reactions from the metal community. They don't sound bad but the band's concept is cheesy.

Yeah, they're a bit gimmicky but there's some seriously decent music there, far better than it should be. I know plenty of serious metal fans who love them, and others who absolutely hate them.

    Probably Abba.
But then my guilty movie pleasure is Priscilla, Queen of the Desert...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

When it comes to music standing on the side of the road with me trousers down and waving me flute on the passing traffic, I have no shame.

Fixed it there for ya, bit off topic tho......

You all see me. The guy in his late twenties on the bus, having a disinterested look out the window and the earphones in. You figure I'm listening to some poxy indie band. I've actually got Nicki Minaj on. And no-one's the wiser

I don't really listen to much of the older metal bands, but Sodom are one of my favourites, mainly because of my other half. You ever listen to them?

    Probably Abba.
But then my guilty movie pleasure is Priscilla, Queen of the Desert...

There is only one word to describe that movie. And predictably enough, that word is fabulous.

    My guilty pleasure song:

I bounce around like a little rubber ball when I hear that.

    The odd time. They're ok.

I used to think Rush was a guilty pleasure ... before the Internet took off, and I discovered just how widespread my "guilty pleasure" was.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Reminds me of the songs my mother used sing when doing the housework:

    "Rubber ball" - Bobby Vee

    "Bimbo" - Jim Reeves

As for my own guilty pleasure music, well, the list is far too long, but one of my favourite guilty pleasure songs comes from one of my favourite guilty pleasure movies - "Dirty Dancing":

"Be my baby" - The Ronettes

Saw 'em live last year, and (hopefully) will see 'em again this year when they're playing with Sabaton! Their version of Ievan Polka is downright incredible too! :D

And speaking of Sabaton, what a ****ing incredibly cheesy band! :pac:

If you don't know how utterly pompous Sabaton are, all they sing about is war, just take a look at the lyrics! :pac:
    Through the gates of hell
As we make our way to heaven
    Through the Nazi lines
    Primo Victoria

    On the 6:th of June
On the shores of western Europe
