Hi, can anybody shed some light on this. This message has come up in Google when I've been trying to access some of my online account. I get redirected to a page that says "your connection is not private" and that other parties may be trying tomacces my info, messages, passwords, credit card details etc.
This has only started recently and I don't have a clue how to fix it! :)
I'd be grateful for any info
    Thanks a lot

Its a cert error. Check your date is correct? Is it only that site, if so it may be vodafones cert having expired.

he has his pc on public instead of private

go into network and sharing centre and change it to private

in win vista or 7 click on customise then set to private or home

in win 8 or 8.1 it is a real pain to change it click below for instructions

It's the new warning page from Chrome. You would have got one before but less scary. The new one is a bit more obvious is all.

ah so you are right... then he needs to sync his tablet's time clock with an internet clock and reset browser. he has an out of date cert in his browser cache

Yep, its a tablet. "She" :) will sync the clock but what exactly do you mean by resetting browser?

Could force quit it under Applications in the Settings and restart the app. I'm not sure if there is a restart option for any browsers...

This happens to me with the Vodafone website on my Android Devices.

    Just ignore it OP.

Vondafones SSL cert is mangled somehow, and doesn't pass tests, but my brain is tired and I can't quite see what part is off.

Don't bother trying to ignore it.

If someone hacked that page what could they do? Pay my bill for me?

Really no point worrying about it as I'm sure Vodafone will *eventually* have it fixed.

It's been broken for 2 years plus, they're not in any rush. Plus it appears the intermediate certs are just flat out missing. Maybe they'll get round to fixing in April 2015 when they renew it.

Has it really been broken for that long?

I only noticed recently with Googles new Material Design update to Chrome.
