Not 100% sure if this is the right thread for this question, couldnt seem to find one to fit it.

My original band is realeasing a single soon and after that an album in the coming months. I heard from someone that HMV do a thing where they will actually track your physical sales with some scanner thing they bring to the launch that goes towards your track listing in the charts.

Ive talked to HMV in the stores and heard nothing and emailed and got no reply. Im basically wondering does this exist, do I have the wrong company or something , has anyone ever heard or seen of this.

Any help would be much appreciated.
