Houseshare / flatshare Dublin?

I'm mtf, living with my grandmother at the moment. Have a job in Lucan but would prefer to move out before I start making visible changes.

Finding a house share is hard enough up here, finding one where you can openly transition is like trying to profit long term at a casino.

Is there anyone else on here looking to rent in Dub? We could find somewhere decent and not have to worry about dodgy roommates?

I can budget about €350 - €450 a month (before bills), so get 3 people on board and that's a decent place anywhere in the city.

Not sure if there's a better place to post this that's LGBT centric but if there is, please post links.

MtF: Transgender, going from presenting as male to presenting as female.

Define cycling distance. I could cycle there from Lucan (and my dad used to back in the 80's).

My ideal would be near Liffey Valley, but anywhere near the 66 / 67 / 25B bus routes is fine by me. Maybe there's somewhere along there that would suit both of us?

Ah ok, surprised with myself that I didn't pick up on the terminology. Ide be hoping for Clonskeagh or Crumlin/Kimmage/Terenure area which sounds like a bit beyond the perimeter your looking for...

    Hey hare05,

I am in a similar situation myself, living alone but the rent is crippling. I'd be interested in sharing an apartment in or close to the city. Have looked at some places on daft in the area you suggeste etc but I think for 2 bedrooms, the rent would be closer to 500 each for 2. I work in D24 so need access to the M50 without the toll. I'd be looking for something modern and spacious. Let me know if you're interested.....

Can't realistically stretch to €500, sorry.

There's a FB group for LGBT people looking for houseshares. Don't know how active it is but it's worth a shot, I guess?

I'm looking for somewhere in Dublin too at the moment, there does seem to be a lot more demand out there than supply. :(

    Cool thanks for the link!

Are you in a similar situation Homer or what?

    Cheers.

Similar in that I'm trying to find a place to live, yeah. I'm not trans though, so even though it's a pain trying to find somewhere I guess I'm fortunate in that I don't have to worry about potentially transphobic housemates.
