    Successfully unhooking a girls bra.

    Scoring a winning goal.

Been told you have a nice physical feature like eyes or arse or whatever.

What has made you feel good about yourself lately? Something that makes you want to do this:

Unusual compliments that make me laugh.

I was out last night and a woman approached me -

Her: "Who's your man over there?"

I looked over anyway to see who she was talking about -

Me: "I don't know, but he's bloody gorgeous!"

    Her: "He's like your twin"...

I didn't know what to say after that one, but I'm not sure whether she was more disappointed that I wasn't single, or that I wasn't gay! :pac:

When a stranger said I had nice hair on the bus.
When I finished my homework assignment that I allocated 2 hours for in one hour.

Random acts of kindness for other people

That euphoric feeling after a beast of a work out. Walk out of the gym like a boss

Same feeling after cleaning the house

Transferring money into my savings. Get a weird feel-good buzz out of that

    Making people laugh

Walking out of work after a marathon day

Writing something that perfectly articulates how I feel about something

    Baking for people

    Spontaneous gifts

    Sunshine

    Sexy underwear

When you tell your body to shut the fcuk up and fcuking plough right through your comfort zone.

When you complete something you didn't think you could do for whatever reason. Because you thought you weren't fit enough, brave enough, smart enough, strong enough.

When you help someone out that really needs the help and you never ask for something in return.

Finding someone you mutually click with among the hundreds and thousands of people you meet over the years.

A big handful of ice in a pint of cider or Coke.....and eating crispy chicken balls.

I allowed my front garden to get into a terrible mess this year (and last year too, to be honest... and I don't remember doing much with it the year before either). I had ample opportunity throughout the summer to sort it out, but was a bit depressed and always found some excuse. The grass was reasonably ok (well, slightly under 1ft anyway), but the weeds - in what had once been a nice flower bed - were around 4ft high. Nettles, thistles, dandelions, thorns, the beginnings of a blackberry bush... everything - it looked appalling, and probably really pissed my neighbours off too. They make a genuine effort with their gardens, so mine looked like a ginger child in the middle of an otherwise perfectly nice family photograph (please don't take offence - that was only an ill-advised, stupid joke).

Last Friday, I decided to finally do something about it. I went out and bought a cheap hoe (ah, stop that) and a decent shears, put my gardening gloves on, grabbed a shovel and filled five large refuse sacks with weeds. I even bought some topsoil and planted a load of bulbs and some shrubs. And then I mowed the lawn and edged it all off nicely. It now looks great. I can't begin to describe how good I felt about myself when it was done. I can finally say hello to my neighbours, without worrying that they're utterly pissed off with me. I can look out the window without feeling ashamed. Hell, I can actually see out the window.

I felt physically wrecked for two days afterwards. I was hobbling around like a pensioner, unable to get out of a chair without making groaning noises. But, for the first time in ages, I genuinely felt good about myself.

I hope to do the same again in another two or three years.

Bought a pair of plain black leggings from Penneys to wear under a dress (because **** pantyhose!). Normally the damned things barely cover my belly and keep rolling down, making for an uncomfortable fit.
Bought a pair last week and popped them on- PERFECT fit and they didn't roll down once meaning I've either lost more weight than I realized or Penneys are finally copping on to the fact that not every size 20 woman has pencils for legs.:)
I also feel good about myself when I cook a meal and my incredibly finicky stepdad gives it the thumbs up.

Getting to the top of a big hill on my bike and then enjoying a lovely fast downhill

Finishing a race knowing that I've put a good effort in

Cold can of San Pellegrino orange or Club Orange after a hard workout

Knowing that I've made someone else really happy, for whatever reason

Getting to the top of a big hill on my bike and then enjoying a lovely fast downhill

That reminds me of something I haven't done since I was a child. Running down a really steep hill, so fast that you're in severe danger of losing control of your own legs. This is why children, for the most part, don't need drink or drugs. As soon as you're too old to be seen running down a hill, screaming - or standing in a field on a stormy day, holding your jacket above your head and taking off in the wind, you need to get your kicks elsewhere. And if you can't acquire drink, drugs or sex, the devil will inevitably find work for idle hands.

I don't really get that invested in things/people to make me feel good.

Waking up Saturday morning. Knowing I got the weekend.

Finding a new band and getting immersed in their music for a week or two until I find the next find.

When I'm surprised by someone thanking me for doing something that I didn't expect an ounce of gratitude for because it was such an inherently natural thing to do, be all like "wow, I don't even realise how nice I am!"

I recently upped sticks and moved to Canada for a year. Left behind everything and everyone I ever loved at home.

I feel good that I made it this far all by myself, without anything going wrong. Am currently weeeeell outside my comfort zone, working as a camp counsellor in Ontario, at least until the end of Oct.

I feel good that I did this just for me.
