We have an old singer sewing machine in the attic here. Think it was made in 1913. Would there be much demand for these or do they hold any value?

It looks to be working perfect and is in good condition..

I personally don't think there is great value in them but have a look at these listings for "Singer" on adverts.ie: http://www.adverts.ie/for-sale/q_singer/

Some are definitely well overpriced and probably very hard to shift. Other's are probably more realistic.

I think they fall into the same category as manual typewriters, they were built to last and have done so, hence there's just too many of them out there to have any value as collectibles.

Go into any 'Olde Worlde' pub and look at the general junk bric a brac scattered around the place, chances are you'll see an old Singer.

You could've made a few bob in Saudi five years ago!

They were mass produced and millions were sold all over the world, and loads still remain, not terribly valuable.
