Late Registering for Self Employment

    Hi There,

I was working as a self employed contractor from 01 April to 29 August (5months) and now I have got a PAYE job.

I never registered for self assessment with local tax office and just wondering is there / how much is a fine for late registration. Just to note, I only earned €7100 during the 5months of self employed income.

Also is it possible to register for Self Assessment and then switch straight over to PAYE as I've been in my new job since 01 Sept.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

Download form TR1 - I dont think it asks for a date of commencement

When you have all returns filed and taxes paid for 2014 you can deregister again
