Just started a maths course I haven't done any maths for about 19 years so I thought it might be good to brush up on my maths. I can't seem to get my head around the long division. It was the first day the other day and between the noise in the class and my slow brain I just couldn't grasp the long division. I know the concept ok. I just don't get the sum as in how to arrive at the answer. Could someone please explain to me clearly step by step how to work out a long division sum. Thank you.
