    As per tittle:
Would a nonclaim bonus obtained in Bulgaria be accepted by any car insurance companies in Ireland?

If you do a search on here, you'll see that it won't.

NCB won't transfer between countries. Now if a company exist in both countries it may be worth investigating.
What company are you with in Bulgaria?

Well in my experience NCB should transfer between countries no problem, especially when it's within EU.

When I moved here from Poland several years ago, I had absolutely no problem with Irish Insurer accepting my NCB earned in Poland.

Get it translated into English and the translateion certified by your embassy. Bring it to a brokers, like First Ireland, and there are companies that will accept it.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

    +1

Official translation is your starting point. Should work within the EU, I have seen it done around me several times from other (non-English speaking) EU countries.

That did it for me when I moved in from Belgium.

    Thank you, guys.
it's for a friend from Bulgaria who arrives in Ireland in October and plans to stay for a long period.
I advised him already to get it translated in English.
I will track the broker mentioned above and see if they would do it for him.

    Thank you for your help!
