Penneys is apparently selling "Christmas" jumpers already.

Why do we have to get bombarded with Christmas crap on the TV and Radio every year?

The day when it comes is the biggest anti-climax ever with everything closed down and no public transport to get anywhere.

Why do we put up with this so called "festive" season every year?

In some countries they have a 'Religious Police' that go around and batter people for all kinds of reasons.
Using that as a template, I suggest we have our own 'No Xmas stuff until it's Xmas' police.

Aww, if only I ruled the joint.

This thread is about Christmas. You have no business bringing religion into it.

I love Christmas too Donna. Ignore these killjoys, they're too cynical to enjoy the run up to Christmas.

I pity any one who can't get excited about Christmas trees and presents and twinkly lights, and a never ending supply of Celebrations and Quality Street. It makes life worth living!

Well perhaps I'm a bit jaded.

I was a coach operator that operated for many years a trip to Amsterdam at Christmas for divorced fathers who couldn't be with their families.

These days I invite travellers who are on their own to my house over the holiday.

We have a good time and get as drunk and stupid as most others, but I still think the C word can cause as much distress as it does happiness.

At least lets leave it till December. Not too much to ask is it?

I loved when November was just a cold dreary month..no talk off xmas until the culchies came up on the 8th now the minute Halloween is over the lights go up the tree goes up and slade are on the radio..bull****.

I've seen more talk of people talking about Christmas than I have people actually talking about Christmas.
Don't you know that Penney's and other places put out Christmas stock this early knowing full well the reaction it'll get? Free advertising.
Then, closer to the time, when people are looking for Christmas jumpers and the like they'll know to go to Penney's because the only thing theyll have taken from all this outrage is that "Penney's have Christmas jumpers."

    GET OVER IT.

As far as possible I simple ignore it. I told my kids that there was no Santa and if they wanted presents they'd have to go without food. :pac:

Don't forget the choco kimberleys and the box of king crisps lol. And the Baileys, lots and lots of Baileys.

Seriously though Christmas is great, and not just with kids, it's my favourite time of year. Love everything about it. It's rubbed off on my little boy, he's been randomly singing Jingle Bells for weeks lol (not my doing/prompting, he just comes out with it)

    Happy Christmas everyone!!!

I adore Christmas, so the more Christmassy things around the place the better. I was in Brown Thomas' Christmas Market last week and it was the best thing I'd done all week :o

Like another poster said, I have to start thinking about Christmas early because I need to stagger my shopping. I've been putting a bit by each week since last December.

I hate all this meaningless Christmas cr*p and now I spend half the evening discussing with people whose lives are so meaningless that the only thing that makes their life worthwhile is to scrimp and save all year to boost the profits of multi million euro manufacturers of consumer garbage.

Well, if you enjoy it who am I to criticize? I just don't understand it, that's all.
