I work in the UK and live in Ireland.

Currently I am sick and unable to work. I was wondering if I would be able eligible for any social benefit payment while I am unable to work?

Any help would be much appreciated!

You have to have made contributions in the 2012 Irish tax year to be eligible for anything at all. Did you pay tax here then?

If you still work in UK, you claim statutory sick pay from your employer there. Unfortunately, it is only about £80 per week. If you are out of work, you claim in Ireland.
    Look up borderpeople.info and hmrc.

You've been paying tax in the UK so claim it there..
