A GoSafe speeding ticket arrived in our office this morning for a Company van with open insurance. It is not known who was driving the van at the time of offence. Anyone have experience of this situation? as a driver cannot be nominated to take the points. What happens? Thanks.

In Oz it's a BIG fine against the company for not maintaining the drivers log book.

I would be very surprised if a company could not determine who was driving, given that you have the exact date and time.

Are there no job sheets, diaries, appointment books, etc.?

Falls on the directors I believe, it's too easy an excuse to say you don't keep a log of drivers, it's company's responsibility to do so.

    You "Supoze"?
    What has happened to English!!

It will be settled by who was driving the van, logs etc will determine it.

It goes to the company secretary if the company can't nominate a driver, as the secretary is considered the "owner" on the log book.

You can request a larger photo. Date, time and photo should allow you to ID the driver.

Ignore it, i don't think there is any legislation in regards to company vehicles under the Road Traffic Act. I know the last time we ignored a FPN nothing ever came of it.
