In grand nick. Steering tube diameter is 27.5cm (no it isn't, it's 1 1/8" or 28.6cm - see below), length of steering tube is 21.5cm

Collection preferable in South Dublin or delivery within a reasonable distance of same

Interested in this, let me measure my steerer.

Believe it or not, I currently have a Dolan without a front fork!

I assume you mean 1 1/8" steerer diameter?

I'd be very interested too, where in South Dublin are you? I'm Dublin 18.

I had to look up the inch measurements. Check it out yourself but 27.5cm is pretty standard.
    I'm in Ballycullen/Firhouse

Sorry, I'm talking through my a$$ there.

Yes it is 1 1/8' (the final frontier of imperial measurement seems to be resolutely holding fast at fork steerer measurements:rolleyes:)

    I believe it's 28.6mm.

I thought as much. I don't think I have a stem that would fit 27.5cm (almost a foot)!!

I've checked the fork I took off and it had 26cm length on the steerer so I think yours is probably too short. I'll check tomorrow and see if it might work out if I drop the bars a little but it's unlikely.

    Thanks, Paul

    I'm out, too short. Thanks

Yeah it came off a size 50 frame. Wasn't cut down completely, had a bit of a chimney stack on it, so it would probably be ok up to 52 or maybe 54.

Too short for me too! While it would fit the frame I'd have to drop the bars by about 30mm.
