Broadband in Castleconnell

The only posts I can find in relation to broadband in the Castleconnell area are pretty old, so I didn't want to resurrect a zombie thread. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

Basically I'm looking for help getting a decent broadband connection in the Castleconnell area that is capable of gaming without constantly disconnecting and streaming without stopping to buffer every few seconds.

I used to have Eircom. I was able to get 7Mb/s during the day, but this dropped to less than 1 most evenings and ping times on pingtest.net were anything up to 700/800ms with very high jitter.

I've been with Celtic Broadband for the past 6 months or so. For the first while, it was excellent. Ping times consistently less than 50ms to Dublin on speedtest.net digiweb server. I was paying for 4 down/1 up and was consistently getting 3+ down and 1.5 up all day every day.

For the past three months or so, the connection quality has dropped significantly. In the middle of the night and early morning I can get test results like I used to, however, once evening time arrives the quality drops to an unbearable level, comparable to what Eircom used to be.

Judging by the Eircom fibre rollout map, Newport and Annacotty are already upgraded, but for some reason the Castleconnell exchange is getting overlooked for an upgrade, so going back to Eircom seems pointless. As far as I am aware, options such as Vodafone or Sky are just reselling Eircom so they are surely also a waste of time.

The only other option that I am aware of is Munster broadband. From what I can find, they have pretty good reviews, but I can't find anything recent/current. Also what one person finds good for web browsing, etc, isn't necessarily good for someone else for gaming, streaming, etc.

Can someone let me know how good/consistent Munster broadband currently is, preferably with sample speedtest/pingtest results done during peak times? How good is it for gaming?

Alternatively, if someone could let me know about any other viable options which they are using in this area, that would be great.

    Thanks.
