Why so few Irish in NAMA owned apartment block I live in?

The apartment block I live in 90% by NAMA. I live in the 10% privately owned. NAMA was pressured by the local authority to rent out apartments to social housing tenants. Now, the block is full of foreign pregnant women, foreign children and people who don't speak English.
There are some Irish off the social housing list but its mainly Asians, Africans, Poles.

Why did NAMA house so many foreign families and so few Irish?
Who checks what is going on with the allocation of properties?
I read over 50% those on Fingal social housing list are foreign.
Why do the Irish taxpayers have to fund this?

I am actually paying rent. This is unfair. If I went to Australia I would have to pay rent too.
This is costing the taxpayer a fortune.

Why do you think you are entitled to rent one of the apartments?

Think very carefully before you answer.

Statistically almost all immigrants are hard working and pay their way.
Also anybody here who is receiving any kind of social welfare is entitled to it.

I am entitled to rent here as my apartment is privately owned and the landlord wanted to rent it out. Why are you asking me about my entitlement to rent private property?

Because you are questioning others' entitlements.

    Hypocricy much?

And you've confirmed with these people that they are indeed on the social? Cause my apt. block is full of foreign people who all work, it's the odd Irish scrounge you see and hear shouting into the night, the rest of us all have to be up in the morning.

What benefits do you imagine someone with no ties to Ireland is entitled to? As far as I'm aware it isn't much, certainly not at the point where they're jumping Irish people in the queue for social housing. Unless you can point to the specific rules/legislation that proves me wrong?

Also, how do you know that NAMA is letting the houses to social tenants? Did they send around a letter saying they're we're being pressured into it? Or is this just gossip?

We signed up for it, Eu, blah blah, equal opportunities, blah, entitled same as anyone, blah, racist, blah, Irish went to England, blah. Real answer is, we're in the EU, and the EU turns everything it touches into a grey, amorphous blob. In ten years, Ireland will be Belgium, or France, or wherever. Get used to it. We're multicultural now. Multicultural is gooood. Possibly.

NAMA are flying them in on special charter planes for free, and then housing them in the apartments.

Why is it unfair that you have to pay rent? Presumably you can afford it. If not, then then you have the option to apply for rent allowance the same as everyone else.

Let's just not start all this again. Start a blog or contact Phil Hogan to get answers.
