Mother of God, the new presenter on Xpose is beyond brutal! He's actually making the rest of the girls look good. The whole thing is an 'E news' rip off

No Xpose in my life either. Must have some pulling power with it's intended audience.

This is terrible, why did they feel the need to mess with perfection?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

Oh it's awful. It reminds me of those awful gameshows (playtv??) they used to have on late at night.

And your man is soooooooooo bad. And the awful contrived scripted chat between them all.

    It's terrible.

Well, what do you expect? He started out as a rugby player, then moved to the US to work for a well-known entertainment website...

Xpose has been going for seven years now, and in that time it's only been perfect at one thing - appealing to those who regularly read Now, Heat, Look, Closer etc etc etc... :o;)

And I'm sure it'll continue to be perfect at that. ;)

I'll bet this revamp was made at least partly out of panic over UTV Ireland, though. ;)

One of the presenters, small, dark haired one, tried to be a weight lifter in some equally vacuous tv programme, was at the Ploughling last year, getting angry with everyone who got in "her shot" as she tried to walk toward the camera among thousands of people.
I heard the new lad on the radio last week and certainly won't be tuning in based on that.

Am I the only one who thinks they should have kept FYI and scrapped xpose?

Now that you mention it, you're not the only one. :D:);)

Again, it wouldn't surprise me if the decision to axe FYI was made at least partly because of UTV Ireland... :o;)

    Bring back Lorraine Keane.....

Xpose was my guilty pleasure for the past two years. It was an easy half an hour watch while the kids are up and while it wasn't exactly amazingly produced or presented it wasn't too bad and was watchable. I was curious how they were going to fill an hour every evening, so I tuned in on Monday to give it a go. It seems they have just stretched out the same segments and put pointless filler interviews in between. It feels completely dragged out and I ended up fast forwarding through a lot of it.

On top of that the new presenter is atrocious. He adds nothing to the team, comes across as arrogant and is very irritating to watch on tv. He looks like he is saying things to get a reaction from his co-presenter and much of the time is behaving like my son when he has to sit through what he calls "girl talk".

So TV3, please bring back the previous format, it was much better

Hmpf. The old xpose was great to turn on for half an hour while eating dinner (repeated on 3e). The new format is bugging the hell out of me. Yerman is still brutal and for a programme that's basically a fashion magazine show, he's dressed like a bloody mucker who came in from the fields and went straight on set. The not-funny jokes are just irritating.

What were they thinking? If they won't bring back the old format at least get rid of him...

Is the hour long live show being cancelled and back to the normal half hour pre recorded show?

God I certainly hope so, they ruined it with the latest changes.

Awful pity they're not getting rid of Peter while they're at it. He is horrendous & actually getting worse.

He's ruining it. I'm kinda not bothered watching it anymore with him there, he really annoys me. He's absolutely clueless and acts like a twat. What exactly is his purpose on the show?

No I too wish they had of kept FYI. Can,t believe they just stopped it without saying so even. Don,t think they were ever gonna scrape Xpose but do think on hour of it is far to long. It was much better as a half hour show.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

According to the Indo; TV3's Xpose is now going to be put back into a pre-recorded slot to cater for the new 7 O'Clock show.

    http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/television/tv-news/tv3s-xpos-live-axed-after-just-six-months-to-accommodate-live-seven-oclock-show-31043228.html

The interactive features will be gone from the show but it will still have it's current four presenters intact.

It has gone so bad! Like others here I liked having it on for the half an hour. Can't stand it now. The obvious paid advertising, presenters that never look stylish, makeovers that make the people look worse. I would love rte to do a rival show. There are so many women out there that would be so much better than them at it. The filler bullshít is terrible too.

The folks at Ballymount won't care as long as it continues to appeal to its target audience.

    Which I'm sure it does.

    :o:o:o:o   ;)

Karen Koster gone back to where it all started for her - to present Ireland AM. She'll be covering while Ciara is on maternity leave.

No idea who the 2 new presenters are on Xpose. I don't see a press release about them.
