YouTube Preview Images....

What's the deal with YouTube previews? You know what I mean - you are on YouTube and there are video previews off to the side - just an image that you think is taken from the video.

So you click it and you're like, 'Okay, now, where is the part from the picture?'

But as the video plays - you never find it? It's like, not there at all.

Am I crazy? Does this happen to other people?

The default is the half way mark on the video, but if you verify your account with a telephone number you can use any image you want.

What bugs me are those twits that use an image of an interview, or a still from footage, which they know people are looking for, and will title the video accordingly also, and then when you watch it, it's just them in their parent's basement saying: 'Hi viewers, just wanted to talk about this " ****!!!

But it has to be in the video, right?

    Nope.

    Here's a video about it:

So basically you saw a video with a thumbnail of a hot, half naked girl and you clicked on it expecting to see the part in the video from that picture but it's not there.

Congrats you just earned that youtuber some money by falling for their view whoring tactic.

Fail compilations and other clickbait stuff are massive culprits when it comes to that sort of thing. Usually with stills of ladies in bikinis and their scantily clad bootys. Disappointing many randy viewers in the process.

The things people do to get their videos viewed

First - it was a hot guy.
Second - why don't people just make vids filled with half naked chicks? Wouldn't that get even more clicks?
