Battle of the bands competition in The Kildrought Lounge, Celbridge, Co. Kildare open to bands, solo singers (with or without backing tracks), singer songwriters etc.

The way the competition runs is as follows:

    Heat nights - October 17th, 24th, 31st and November 7th.

Each act performs 2 songs on their allocated heat night. Maximum of 5 acts per heat night and 2 acts per heat progress to the semi finals.

Semi final nights - November 14th and 21st.

4 acts per semi final night with two progressing from each night to make 4 finalists. 2 songs per act.

The final, November 28th. 4 acts performing 2 songs each.

Every night of the competition is judged by an audience vote except the final where there are 3 judges, the audience acting as one and two anonymous judges brought in by Diageo (the competition sponsors).

Full backline (amps, drum kit, microphones etc) is provided by ourselves (the house band) but we ask ALL acts to bring their own instruments/breakables.

If an act taking part in any of the heat nights does not progress to the semi finals they are fully entitled to enter another heat night provided we have the space. Once knocked out of the semi finals you're gone though.

Competition starts at approximately 11pm each night but we ask all acts to be in the venue by 10pm to give us a confirmation of attendance. Running order of the acts is decided at random on the night before the competition starts. This competition is open to both original and cover acts so song choices are entirely up to the performers.

If you'd like to book your slot please just let me know which date of heats suits best, the act name, description (band, solo singer with backing tracks, singer songwriter etc.) and contact number.

Competition is held in The Kildrought Lounge, Main Street, Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
