I can see the S2000 resemblance, and perhaps a bit of baby F-Type too, and something else - Barchetta maybe, or am I going mad?

    I like it BTW.

I think all the shapes have been used at this stage, unless you do something VERY radical there will always be similarities with a mush mash of other cars. The last original feature I saw any car was the Alfa Giulietta rear lamp 'graphic'.

Not sure I like the smiley front.
But I totally agree with the S2000 comparison. Nice car all the same. Will they even bother selling it here though?

It'll be interesting to see how this one shapes up to the last. I've driven all 3 generation's and I felt the last was too soft and heavy for what it is, so this looks to be a return to form.

Although I still have the MK2 (and still loving it), I could be tempted by this when used market emerges.

Why do you say that? There's loads of the mk3 knocking around... I'd imagine this one will be as popular?

Yes but, now people are obsessed with diesel and cheap tax.

Good point! At least there's a 1.5 version apparently... Some hope of finding a second hand 2 liter in a few years...

it would be really cool if they could come up with some kind of electric/rotary hybrid to get it through emissions tests

I like it. But the headlights are too small, every time I look at it I think the same thing. It makes it look a bit weird at the front.

    aya it's a bit squinty

Would've preferred this concept over the production model.

    ^^^^^^^^^
That rear is much better but the front is too big for what the MX5 is, I dont mind the head lights and see it as progression but the new rear is really lacking definition especially around the rear arch up to the boot where a line or crimp would have helped it really stand out. Over all is nice and I look forward to seeing them on the road.
