    Hi

This might have been covered before but anyway. I have errorcom bb and with the serious lack of speed and drops I've had since it was connected I've been released of the 12 month contract. Only 3 mb connection but at best 2.6mb and most if the time 0.4mb. So my question is this is there another supplier I can get that won't be as woeful as errorcom.

    Cheers

If you have no prospect of getting fibre in your area I'd give Sky a shout.

So I'd be better going to UPC so !

Would there be no difference in connection quality at all between fixed line providers ?

Not on a legacy exchange like yours.

I had UPC in my last location (Navan), and couldn't fault them for BB speed,
since moving to North County dublin, I had to go either Eircom or Vodafone, so I chose Vodafone, initially it was a shocking 1mb down, but since upgrading to fibre, I'm getting a steady 28mb down.

    Where are you located OP?

What about the option of a 3G router? When I first moved here, I was getting the 1mb fixed line, while an 02 dongle was giving me about 8mb down!

You might have mentioned that UPC was an option for you in your first post.

If UPC is an option get that. I've always got the advertised speeds. Every other non wireless broadband is the same as eircom. At least with eircom they would give an excuse other than "eircom is doing work on the line"
