Hi , Im a little confused , my licence got disquaified 2 years ago coming this november. The ban was for 2 years but i dont know how to get it back. must i resit my theory test ? will my licence be sent back in the post ? Must i fill in forms ? Please help ..

Do you have a full or learner/provisional?

The ban will be recorded on computer and should on older paper licence be stamped on back.

If learner/provisional you will have to apply for new one as it would be out of date after 2 years.

Thanks for the reply , its a provisional license, does that mean i must resit my theory , in not sure what date in November the ban was from how will i know when to reapply?

Have a look at the NDLS website. Am pretty sure there is info there on what you have to do to get another license. You won't get the old one back in the post, as it will have expired by now. You'll have to apply for a new one.

You won't have to do anything just reapply as normal with proof of adress and all that.
if it's over 4 years since you held a licence then you would need everything again theory test etc.
My mate held an old provisional not one of the permits and got a lengthy ban over 4 years and now has to get lessons,theory test etc all over again

You only have to start from scratch ( ie do the theory test again, do the eye exam again & do the 12 mandatory EDT lessons) if....

- you got your first learner permit/provisional license after April 4th, 2011

or

- you had a learner permit/provisional license prior to April 2011, but it has been expired for five years or more.

I don't think that either of those scenarios apply to the OP. He won't have to re do the theory test or the eye exam, just to apply for another learner permit. But if he got it after April 2011, he will still have to do the 12 mandatory EDT lessons before he can sit his test. If he had it prior to April 2011, he won't.

Ring the helpline (tel. 0761 087 880) and they will advise if 'disqualified' still appears on your driver file. They will also advise what you need to do. Alternatively, you can email them info@ndls.ie
