maternity benefit and holidays.

    I'm due to start my maternity leave on the 28th of Dec,I'm actually on holidays from 12th as our place closes down . am I still entitle to get paid for my holidays or can my employer Insist I take my maternity leave from the 12th?

    You are still entitled to take your holidays. Your maternity leave must start at least 2 weeks before the due date of the baby but it need not start earlier then that.

    thanks very much!my employer will try to do me out of my holiday pay no doubt.

    Don't forget you are also accrueing holidays while you are on maternity leave.

    I get school holidays so on not sur what way it works .
