Anyone know of where to get wooden entrance gates for a house manufactured in county galway. I have seen some very nice solid type wooden gates in front of houses in various parts of the country. hoping to find someone making them in Co. Galway.

I know a very good fella that custom makes gates. He is in Westport though. Might be a bit far from you.

thats standish sawmills reggie, in westmeath, alright gates when their new but dont hold as its all native softwoods that they seem to use. Geraghtys joinery in claregalway if your looking for a real good set. but like that they wont be the cheapest but they'll be still their when you arent.

Standish is below in Leap near Birr in Offaly. Might be near enough depending on where in Galway you are.
The lads above are right though about softwood gates!

From experience, I'd imagine your gates longevity is more down to your treatment with fence life than their treatment
