The match deserves its own thread. Ulster winning 12-10.

    Good start for Sky's coverage.

Wow, kinda weird hearing Will Greenwood commenting on a Pro 12 match!

Scarlets really up for this. Holes in the ulster defence

Looked like Henry was cleared out from the side a couple rucks before the try. The ref was quick to do him for exactly that not too long before.

Super try if it's not disallowed for crossing in the build up.

Cracking try but think there was obstruction there a few times.

Edit: Nope, all good. Brilliant by Olding and cracking try.

I'm gonna get wildly carried away and say Olding is gonna take the 12 shirt from Darcy by November!! :D:D

    Olding is class so far

Jesus christ what tool do they have in charge of the replays, he has to be told everything 3 times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Perfectly fine try, making this so difficult.

This is painful. Award it already!

    Ridiculous decision.

    ????

They didn't even focus in on that one.

    Harsh decision there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Awkward Badger

    Absolute joke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Well at least they might get 3 points here.

Very poor attendance, I imagine a lot of season ticket holders decided not to renew after all the infighting.

Fitzgibbon is a poor ref at this level IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

"Pedantic would be the word I would use for that"

That will be on Fitzgibbon's headstone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

If the plan was to give Herbst 30 minutes then surely you'd bring him off the bench?

Whats the time in the game at the moment?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Paul Marshall, high tackle

Never thought I'd hear the above in the same sentence!

Rugby is being made unwatchable. It's taking about 50 mins to play a half of rugby because officials won't make a decision or organise scrums.

We'd a cracking game on here, after a needless referral to the TMO the momentum of the game has been killed and the crowd is dead.

Last night in Thomond was absolutely diabolical, it felt like I was on the terrace for a month. Hopefully we won't have the same here.

    Around 36 mins

    Olding is absolutely savage.

    Where's Luke Marshall today?

    Surely a high tackle ?

The better refs will trust their instincts. I believe that is the directive also. As the season goes on refs like fitzgibbon will be refing the untelevised games...

Ian Humphries took a dive there!

That TMO decision for the disallowed try took way too long.

6 of one and half a dozen of the other really. Definitely left the elbow out and made contact. Then Humpreys made a meal of it.

    Marshall..

Also Olding pretty poor there. Could've forced him out if he didn't give up the chase.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Taxi for Marshall

Was just going to say. If he'd been about 5 yards ahead he would have made the tackle after Davies stepped back in.

If nothing else at least some of the traditionally weak sides look pretty decent this year, Edinburgh last night and Scarlets today

Sky even make the pro12 logo look better.

Tackling optional at times but this is great

You sure it's not the Guinness branding that's making it more appealing?

No, that had no effect on me whatsoever.

... I could go for a pint of plain right about now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Seriously. Looking for the tmo there?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

Touch judge called that pretty quickly. He must not have wanted to get cold standing around waiting for the TMO.

    Harsh again though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Ironically going to the tmo would probably meant no yellow.
