Hi, the future Mrs and I are going to Vegas as our first stop on (hopefully) 3-4 stage honeymoon (not booked yet) . Just wondering is it worthwhile going with an empty suitcase and clothes shopping in Vegas for rest of honeymoon or packing as normal as Vegas doesn't give you time to shop? any insight welcome. esp past honeymooners thanks.

I wasn't in the mood for shopping in Vegas. It's not as amazing as you might think. I enjoyed it but I didn't want to spend my honeymoon shopping. I think three days is enough to see the sights. I'd have hated to feel under pressure to bargain shop. I think the tax is slightly lower but not enough to make a big difference. I wouldn't recommend bringing empty suitcases on honeymoon. You'll want to chill out after the wedding not shop like mad.

Depends on how long you are going to be there. Plus do you enjoy shopping???

Good shopping in Caesars and (I think) Planet Hollywood. Plus there are a outlets just outside the strip but I never went there.

Are you going on anywhere after LV?

Miami possibly not 100% but somewhere in Florida anyway and a cruise around the Caribbean

Defo not many retail outlets in Vegas, himself took a literally empty case as LV was step 2 of ours, so we got to shop before we hit the strip.

Is a lot cheaper to stay mon to thurs, be prepared to state it's your honeymoon, for room upgrade, you ave got to do a breakfast buffet in the Bellagio!

We stayed 4 nights, which was enough, mind you I have been a few times over the years. There is a lot of tacky souvenir shopping to be done, stay on the strip, it's long enough to get a hotel from the cheap Circus Circus to the sublime, Belagio.

What is the rough plan so far

There's a really nice shopping mall just passed Treasure Island but it's normal prices not an outlet mall. At the other end if the strip there is an outlet mall but like any day shopping you might buy loads or not see much you like. Enjoy your honeymoon

You could go to Orlando, there is Royal Caribbean, Disney and Carnival cruise out of Port Caneveral. Although I don't recommend Carnival. Do all your shopping in Orlando!
