I know it's the Mirror, but if this is true, it's pretty mental - you hear about false rape accusations here and there, but usually it's someone there is a victim on the other end whereas this woman's claim was that it was three strangers in an alleyway. I'm sceptical until more comes out, but never considered this when I heard it initially. Why would anyone really?
A Brazilian student has been charged with making a false sex attack claim to gardai.

Regina Thais de Oliveira, 20, Cabra Park in Dublin, made no reply when charged yesterday (FRI) with making a bogus statement to officers at Mountjoy Garda station on August 25.

The 20-year-old is alleged to have lied about being attacked in a laneway in Phibsboro near her home as she made her way to work almost two weeks ago.
Gardai began investigating the alleged attack and detailed descriptions of three suspects were released to the media and a huge public appeal for witnesses and information was made.

A technical exam was also carried out at the laneway across from St Peters Church at Cabra Park where she claimed she was sexually assaulted.
