Two children have been found stabbed dead in a house in Charleville, Co Cork.
The bodies of the two boys, brothers aged 8 & 10, were discovered at a house at Deerpark in Charleville.

Gardaí believe the discovery of a man's body in Buttevant is connected to their deaths.

Just read that there and was going to start a thread.
Terribly sad and my thoughts and prayers go out to the parents of the children.
God only knows what they are going through right now.
    RIP

A third body found, that of a man, at a second crime scene believed to be linked.

Can't help but jump to one conclusion, as sad as it is.

Aged eight and ten, and found by one of their siblings.

Sad news, you can come to a conclusion as to what happened if you read between the lines.

I'd offer my opinion on people who decide to take others with them but now is not the time.

Oh my god, those poor boys, their poor parents and siblings :( I could say a million and one other things but really all you can say is just RIP and all the goodwill in the world for the people involved that they will find the strength to cope with this. I can't think of anything worse.

    Jesus Christ....

Is this a case of someone on a random rampage or what? Poor little kids & their poor families :(

I feel sick. I just can't imagine what their parents are going through. RTE reporting they were twins, and that the third person was in their 20's and related to them. Hard not to read between the lines but the facts will emerge.

    Tragic.

Older man a step brother according to Limerick Leader

    Limerick Leader @Limerick_Leader

It's understood the third body found, a man in his early 20s,was a step-brother of the twin boys age 9, not a full brother as stated earlier

Some places report twin boys, elsewhere brothers aged 8 and 10.

my thoughts are with all involved, their poor parents, and extended family, and the wider community. A lot of people will be very affected by whats happened, in particular school friends. Rest in peace boys. so very very sad.

Pascal Sheehy reporting on RTE that the twins were found dead in separate rooms by friends who they were playing with earlier.
The step-brother had just been seen driving away from house and was later found dead near his car.

Horrific story, cant imagine how the parents feel.

Unspeakable for the people affected, if money was ploughed into mental health support and services it wouldn't prevent every incidence like this but it'd have a marked effect.

It is a horrible way to die and my heart goes out to their families. Rest in Peace.

I think he was just referring to the fact that one of the brothers was an adults.

Let's leave it at that though :)

Something thats almost too awful to believe.
I hope that their parents somehow fond the strength and courage to continue on with life. Although if I was in their position right now I think i'd just want to get it over with and hope the ground opens up and swallows me.
