I have a iPad mini and chromecast these don't work with filmon, is there any similar apps? Cheers

A Chromecast is not the same as Airplay - each app must build-in support for Chromecast, which probably won't happen. Airplay is built-in to iOS so nearly everything supports it unless they opt out (eg. Sky and HBO).

If you were hoping to 'beam' TV and video to your Chromecast, YouTube and Netflix are the main options.
