Cork to Dublin airport

    hi folks,travelling from dublin airport next week,just wondering what time should i be heading to dublin? flight is at 1.25pm(must go by mallow) i presume newlands cross and red cow is crazy every morning,any one with any experience of doing this route in the morning would appreciate any advice.

    The going by Mallow is the killer. Road to mitchelstown from there is a nightmare. Aim to be at the airport no later than 11.30 (10.30 if heading to the US )and work back from there

    i know,that stretch is brutal but cant be avoided.

    also,the toll on the m50,can that be paid in advance or is it only within 24 hours after you go through it?

    you can set up an online account with a credit card which gives you a lower toll and its automatically deducted from you at the end of the month. So it'd do you for the return journey, and any other journies you might make down the line.

    Theres no service charge either so perfect for the occassional user / good option for those that dont live in Dublin (/Ireland)

    Did that stretch in 50 minutes last week, got stuck behind a tractor with no chance of him pulling in to free up the massive tailback

    You can pay the toll at the Spar shop just by the entrance to departures in T2 at Dublin Airport.
