    06 Mazada 3 with engine emission light on

    any ideas before i go to garage to get ripped off

    know fack all about cars so sorry if its vague

    1.6 engine. 200k on clock
    regular service, last done 3 months ago
    light just popped on sunday

    Diesel or petrol?
    Is the car acting up? Or just the light on?

    emissions seem fine, seems to be clear smoke, sorry dont know what you mean by running rich

    The engine light could mean anything. Get it read and come back here with the results for better advice.

    Is it diesel ?

    Fairly sure its a 1.6tdci / 1.6 hdi engine in which case could be a lot
