Plus a cheap as chips inverter from lidl/Aldi....

    Anybody else thinking 'private clampers'?

Would that actually work? Would the 600watts be too much for an inverter from the cigarette lighter? Getting one for sure it it'll work.

600watts on 12volts takes 50amps. I have 15amps fuse on me car cigarette lighter, so it wont work.
Can anyone comment on Drapers quality as I don't know the brand??

Have a heat gun from them. Used numerous times without issue and quite a solid build. You'd probably get a bosch grinder in woodies for the same price as this BTW

Draper Tools are usually top quality.

Draper used to produce some terrible tat but I have a shed full of the stuff now, they're rock solid. A lot of mechanics use their Expert stuff these days too.

FWIW most Aldis have 125mm grinders still in stock for ~€24 (if I remember correctly).

Pretty much. They all have a two year on the spot replacement warranty though so some of their stuff is worth the gamble if you're a very infrequent user.
