Advice for driver changing from manual to automatic car

My 71 yr old aunt wants to change her car and I suggested buying an automatic - she has had a Clio, a Polo, a Yaris, an Alto, another Polo and a Fiesta. I thought she could take a lesson in an instructors automatic car to get proper tuition and see how she gets on.

What advice would you give to someone who has driven manuals and needs to familiarise themselves with driving an automatic bearing in mind her age and the fact she makes mostly very short (<5km) urban journeys?

You cant go wrong really. Show her how to select gears and retire her left foot. Make sure she doesn't try to brake with her left.
