Does anyone know? Whats the most number of replays a senior inter county championship has gone to? Is there any rule preventing it going on for an unlimited number?

Dublin/Meath 1991? That was three replays in the preliminary round of Leinster. Don't know about a rule. I suppose that as long as people would buy tickets, the GAA would be happy to sell them...

    ;)

Kilkenny played Cork in the All Ireland Final 3 times back in the Lory Meagher era. I am sure some one else here has the exact year. Cork won at the third attempt.

Roscommon and Sligo played each other 6 times in 1925. Caused a delay to the Connacht Championship. Mayo represented Connacht in the AI, won it based mainly on Kerry and Cavan being thrown out. They went back to finish the Connacht Championship against Galway who themselves played Leitrim 3 times. Galway beat Mayo and were later declared All-Ireland Champs.

    Mayo shafted that year too!
