Hoping somebody will be able to help me, I'm thinking of getting Saorview installed in one room of my house and have Sky digital box in another room, is this possible to do? Will I have to get 2 different signal dishes on the outside of my house?
Also Can I get more UK free to air channels on Saorview Box or is it just all the Irish channels?

    Thanks a mill

Saorview is the Irish terrestrial tv/radio channels so you will need an aerial (most likely on the roof) to receive the signal. Depending on your location and the TV/STB you have you may be able to receive some or all of the UK's Freeview stations as well.

It will be separate from Sky digital satellite

Yes you are allowed do that. Just make sure that your aerial is aligned to your local transmitter to receive Saorview.

You can check local coverage for Saorview in your area here > http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

... make sure that your aerial is aligned to your local transmitter to receive Saorview.

OP says they are getting Saorview installed. I would like to think the installer would be capable of aligning to the right transmitter, without customers having to make sure ...

And 'local' transmitter (whatever exactly you mean by that) might not be best. And you can't just take the coverage checker as gospel, particularly when obstructions such as trees & buildings come into play. The transmitter the installer ends up going with, might not necessarily be what the checker recommends for the location in question.

What you want is the transmitter that provides the best signal, as measured at the receiving site, not necessarily the 'local' one or, what the coverage checker recommends.
