Hi, wonder can anyone out there give me a bit of advice?
I have a toshiba computer. When i turn it on the volume from it is horrendous!!!!! I have tried going to control panel, sound and then to speakers and microphone, nothing i do seems to stop the noise!!!! can anyone point me in the right direction as of how to solve this problem? When I'm on skype i just hear a terrible echo.
    Thanks
    Frances

You could try running a linux iso,eg mint 7 ,fits on 1cdr,670meg file iso.
IF sound is ok,that means its a software problem.
    boot linux from cd.
OR buy a usb sound card ,10 euro, ebay.
    its 2x4inch approx in size.
Disable the sound card you have now in control panel, device manager.
