    No 3D.
I don't know if it supports Saorview, but would like to.
The motion blur gets slated on a review site.
    Others give it great feedback.

It is Samsungs 4K entry level device, so bare that in mind, but the price looks great. Very tempting.

Today they have 50" UE50HU6900 version for €815

It claimed to be €1800 which is wrong, its £800 on http://www.123av.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=1858
Could be good value but the claim for savings is wrong

I doubt many people buy a 50" 4K TV to watch Sharon Ni Bheolain on RTE news now

Most companies in Ireland are claiming a RRP €1,599.99 and than offer it for €1,249. Exception is Harvey who claims the RRP of €1,899 but again sells it for €1,249.

So ibood is offering a good discount here with a price of €815, over €400 saved.

According to the comments on the ibood site this tv cannot play Netflix. If this is true its a pretty big drawback.

    If it doesn't have 3D I wouldn't buy.

Don't think the lack of 3D would be an issue for me ... I don't have any 3D channels and no real interest in getting a 3D bluray player.... Kinda starting to think 50" is too big so that's putting me off ...... along with the small fact that I don't have 800 quid lying around !

There were issues with Netflix with previous firmware, I believe its now fixed, but I can't confirm it as I don't have one.

Chromecast won't give you Netflix at 4k though.

Given Netflix will be one of the few places to give 4k content for a while, you really want the Netflix app on the TV...

With UPC 60Mb as standard/basic, everyone will be able use it.
To get the highest quality Netflix experience in Ultra HD 4K, we recommend available bandwidth of at least 20Mbps. This provides enough throughput for the stream, which is about 16Mbps, plus headroom for service variability.

    who cares?

they are connected to over 500,000 homes in major population centres all over the country offering 60Mbps to 250Mbps broadband for peanuts.

if you want decent broadband, you will have to move to somewhere that has it, or just enjoy the luxury of the fresh air that is all around you that us city folk don't get to breathe on a daily basis and have to drive half an hour just to take a clean breath. :p
