    Hi everyone,

I will be moving into an apartment in either Belfield Park or Seamount (Stillorgan Road area), and was checking out the various tv and broadband packages available to me, I'm just wondering is Sky Broadband decent? Will be mainly using to it stream movies, casual browsing etc. There'll be three of us in the apartment who will all be using it, so don't want to sign up to something and then have a crappy service! Thanks!!

I wouldn't recommend Sky. They only offer a max of 24mb/s Broadband.

You would be better off checking if UPC are available in your building who can offer 200mb/s

Also Eircom/Vodafone probably can offer "upto" 100mb/s broadband.

All far faster then Sky for about the same money.

Sky's 24Mb service wouldn't be fast enough for 3 people. Find out if eFibre is available in your area and find out what speed your line can handle. Vodafone do a broadband-only product for €35 if you are not interested in having a phone package.

If you want a phone and your line can only handle >40Mb with Eircom/Vodafone, I would go with UPC because you can get broadband and phone for €37.
