One went on to be a GAA commentator. The other became our minister for Finance

    They stopped being funny.

    Sometime around 2004 IIRC

Give it a year or two and they'll be representing Ireland in the Eurovision.

    Their audience copped on.

They both came together and formed Michael D. Higgins.

They were funny for a bit longer than that, but in the end they did stop being funny.

They were brilliant in their prime.

A scare at bedtime was a great show, used to enjoy it every week. Once they got their own chat show it went downhill after that. Season 1 was ok but after that they it died a death.

Fester and Aillen though are still a class act

Which leads us nicely to the inevitable question - What ever happened to Zig and Zag ?

Didn't the church have them taken off air or something?

I used to cringe watching it at how bad it got so quickly. Miserable.

Didn't they get a makeover from Louis Walsh and become Jedward.........which leads inevitably to the question, whatever became of Jedward?

Took the words right out of my mouth there. My opinion is the exact same.

You don't see many of that puppet crowd around anymore, for instance is the turkey still on television?

Snotser was always my favourite, being country folk we used to think the inner city Dub accent was hilarious as kids, we didn't realise at the time that people actually spoke like that.

They were vile crude and completely cringe. Didn't find them entertaining at all. Just really crass.

They weren't too badly received, They spent a good chunk of the 90s appearing on C4s Big Breakfast.

Hopefully they realised that they milked it as much as they could before being forced into hiding.

Snotser was a helium fiend. Heard he had artistic differences with Ray D'Arcy over the direction The Den was heading in.

Like everything vaguely entertaining on RTE it gets screwed up and binned.

The cocaine was supplied by Molly and Rossa Morbeg, biggest dealers in western Europe.

Believe me you don't want to owe money to that pair, two of the most depraved and twisted muthafcukers ever to walk this planet.

They had species changes and moved to US. One is a rabbit and the other became an alcoholic drug addicted bear.

Hopefully there was a fire in the puppetry department of RTE and they, Zig and Zag and Dustin are now little bundles of ash on the department floor.

Yeah, the Bronx Bunny show was a bit of a laugh alright

They became the Rubberbandits. RTE just reassigns its people, most young people who get on a tv programme there are friends or family of someone connected to a hirer in RTE.

I'd totally forgotten about A scare at bedtime. I used to really like that, *off to youtube*

The calibre of guests went downhill big time, but they had some brilliantly random guests on from time to time, the big guy from The Sopranos and bearded guy from The West Wing. Cutting off the McCauls is still, one of the most unexpected, funniest things I've seen on RTE.

Bigger, more important question is, what happened to Sinéad Ni Churnain from DDN? I used to text in every day asking her to marry me.

    Hopefully they'll do another series.
