Condenser dryer/shower pump

Having never used the drying feature on our washing machine (Electrolux aqualux 1200), a new addition to the family has increased our washing loads exponential and not being helped by Irish weather we started using the dryer. I've noticed that the shower pump switches in & out every 10 secs or so during this operation. Anybody else notice this in CL? My worry on this is the longevity of the pump with the constant switching. Is this down to celtic era plumbing or normal for condenser dryer? Thanks in advance for advise.

I don't see why there would be any connection between the pump and the washing machine. In my house the showers / bath and sink are connected but nothing else.

My washing machine is connected to the pump too, and when I had the combined washer dryer before the same thing happened as is happening with yours - I think about fixing it but don't know how... Anyone able to advise?
