What do you mean dosing for it?

Do you have a ewe down with it? Or are you wondering how to prevent it?

    I don't dose for it.

There are good lads on here that will tell you more, the reasons why it happens as its nutrition related, I'll leave that to them...

What I do - make sure they have enough grass / hay in front of em all the time, feed em a good ration about 6 weeks from lambing, make sure they are all eating when you do give em the ration... not sure what else to do?

EDIT : When you are giving em the ration, make sure there is enough trough space.

If you want to vaccinate for anything, do toxovac. Stops outbreak of most common kind of abortion ( toxoplasmosis) where ewe aborts in late pregnancy, and the ones that don't have weak lambs. After that ad John says good feeding.

As John said twin lamb disease isn't a disease it's a cover all for the effects of a diet too low in energy to meet the ewes and lambs(unborn) needs.

To prevent know when your ewes are due to start lambing
Have adequate feed space to prevent competition for food
If possible scan for ewes with multiples and feed them separately coming close to lambing.

You have it all there, plus lameness increases the risk too

+ sell your old ewes now. The ones that "might have another year in them" are the first to go down

Anyone have a price for toxovac? Was putting down losses at lambing to all ewe lambs this year but I see loads more cats around this year

I think I paid about € 4-60 a head last year ?? Cannt remember for sure. Comes in a bottle of 50 doses I think. You have to use it within a hour of opening
