Looking for a 3-5 night break to Iceland from Ireland (Cork) but not sure where to start as regards flights etc?

Anyone have any recommendations of going direct vs. using an agent etc?

There was a thread about Iceland here last week, go back a page or two and you'll find it. Someone mentioned that EasyJet are starting a service from Belfast.

I went to Iceland a few months ago, flew Dublin to Edinburgh with Ryanair and then got an easyjet flight from Edinburgh to Reykjavik. Worked out at 280 euro per person round trip.
The flight back did require an overnight stay in Edinburgh, arrived there after midnight. Stayed in the nearby travel lodge for 59 euro (2 sharing) and got the first flight back to Dublin the next morning (around 7.30am).

Flights are starting this winter from Belfast direct but last I checked they were pretty well booked out for the first couple of months they're running this route.

You can fly with SAS from Dublin also (with a Scandinavian stopover) but the cheapest flights I could find were around 500 euro per person round trip.
