    I have a 1998. Clk230k 136k Automatic.

It's well serviced and has the recommended oil and spark plugs etc but seems to be very sluggish.

In S/W at high revs it will hold the Rev before changing gear. Driving normally it will change gear fine but is still sluggish on acceleration

I drove a mates 03 C180K and it was definitely quicker and more responsive!!

My Merc need a crank shaft position sensor but would that affect the performance that much?

Maybe a gear oil chance is needed also!
