Is it possible to fly into HCM without a pre arranged visa?

If not how do any of you guys have any knowledge of getting a visa.

All the big travel sites just say use a reputable agent for Visa on arrivals.

Flying out 9th Oct, for just under 3 weeks.... can't wait.
    Thanks in advance

No to the first question. Good few threads on it if you do a search of the main travel forum.

But in short go through myvietnamvisa or any one of those companies should be ok.

You do need to get your visa sorted before you travel, either by embassy, or the better option in my opinion, the visa on arrival letter.
You can apply through one of the reputable websites, we used http://www.starvietnamvisa.com. Found it one of the cheapest and also offered private visa letters (you letter contains only your passport details). You submit your info, they get back to you with a letter within 3 days. You print it and bring it with you along with passport-size photos and dollars (is it still 35$?) to the arrival airport in Vietnam and they issue you with a visa based on the letter provided. If you don't have your photo with you, they take one and charge something like $2 for it.
