Do not buy anything under 6 months, or 6". Baby beardies need a lot of feeding and are extremely delicate.

Any babies I breed from my pair are fed 6/7 times a day on pin head crickets. They are bathed daily and misted daily. Water is supplemented with calcium and d3 drops and food dusted 3 times a week.

Do you think you could do this? Religiously?
I have 4 month old babies for my new breeding project, they are currently fed 3 times a day and are eating veg as well. Crickets are dusted with calcium twice a week and they're bathed every two days.

My pair had a strong clutch back at the start of August, and some of the larger ones will be available from mid-September once they go through their first shed and are over 6 inches. All been religiously fed high quality goldfish flake gutloaded crickets (most now on 2's) and nutrabol since day one. They're also eating small amounts of dusted finely chopped curly kale at this stage.

PM me and I can send you more info! Videos at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD3enTD-2q4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL25CCkaiPY and the parents are at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skmFtMgGal

But I agree, having had beardies from birth, as well as older ones, they do take a lot of work while they are young, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort to look after them right, they can live a long and healthy live.

    Cheers

    Jamie
