    Hi Guys

Flying into Arrecife Airport for the first time shortly. Going with EI from Dublin. Whats the airport like on the other side.? It looks like a lot of staring down at the Atlantic for most of the spin down. Any info on flight plan or anything to note welcome.

    Thanks

There it is, doesn't look like it will differ from that.

    Enjoy the flight.

On EI778 usual route takes you South West from Dublin via Cork, then heading directly South, making landfall again just North West of Santiago Spain, continuing Southbound following the Portuguese coast down as far as Sagres before turning right, South West to the Canaries. You might catch a glimpse of Lisbon if the weather's nice :)

We did have a lovely view of Portugal on the way back last time I was down there.

ACE is right by the sea, and anywhere around Matagorda is a planespotters dream.

Thanks guys looking forward to having a good nose down around matagorda at the arrival and departures. Looks like we will be flying pretty close to my home actually.

I flew to Tenerife (which is a dump) from Belfast and tbh it was a very long european flight at 4.5 hours. We decided not to visit again as it was not worth our time with the distances involved.

The route down there was Belfast to Penzance to the north of Spain and then over the ocean. I think most of it was over the ocean yes.

If you go to Matagorda and walk along
the beach for a few minutes you will literally be at the edge of the runway. The planes pass no more than 100 feet above your head. Its an impressive sight.
